About PEFC Certification
In August 2017, the Company achieved certification for its client companies under the Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification or PEFC.
Commitment to PEFC
The Company is committed to PEFC forest management values in accordance with NZ/AS 4708:2021 and a copy of the company's Sustainable Forest Management Policy outlining these commitments can be found here: Sustainable Forestry Management Policy
SWEL is also committed to PEFC Chain of Custody values in accordance with PEFC ST 2002:2020 CoC Standard Second Edition and all relating PEFC standards. The Executive Director shall be responsible for the overall implementation of the PEFC CoC Documented Control System and shall in conjunction with Company Employees conduct an annual review of the policies and procedures outlined in this document and make changes where necessary.

The audit results for the current certification period, and maps of the estate are available on request. A public summary of our current forest management plan is available on request. SWEL's current forest management and chain of custody certificates are provided below:
