About PEFC Certification
In August 2017, Southwood Export Ltd (SWEL) achieved certification for its client companies under the Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification or PEFC.
Commitment to PEFC
SWEL is committed to PEFC forest management values in accordance with NZAS4708:2021 and a copy of the company's Sustainable Forest Management Policy outlining these commitments can be found here.
SWEL is also committed to PEFC Chain of Custody (CoC) values in accordance with PEFC-ST-2002-2020-CoC-Standard-Second-Edition and all relating PEFC standards. The General Manager (Mr Steve Hindley) shall be responsible for the overall implementation of the PEFC CoC Documented Control System and shall in conjunction with relevant SWEL staff conduct an annual review of the policies and procedures outlined in this document and make changes where necessary.
SWEL adheres to the PEFC Core Labour requirements and its policy may be found here: Core Labour Requirements Compliance Policy.
The audit results for the current certification period are available on request. SWEL's current forest management and chain of custody certificates are provided below:
